Aristotle’s works are fascinating. I recently read Ross’ translation of NM, and it is definitely really insightful.

Virtues are actually the mean between 2 vices. So for example, braveness is the middle ground between the vices of cowardice, and rashness.. both which would surely do more damage than good.

I think this really draws out the lesser and greater distinction you made. Yes, sometimes it’s okay to have short sharp bursts of pleasure, but all in moderation!
